Welcome to
Lumos Arts Academy
We aren’t just a school; we are a community. At Lumos, we believe that education should not come at the cost of a child’s self-esteem. We have created a sanctuary for students who need a different type of environment—one that flourishes with creativity and leads with empathy.
At Lumos Arts Academy, we believe that education isn’t about fitting into a box—it’s about building a stage where your best self shines.
We understand that traditional school environments don't work for every child. Whether your student is a creative soul, neurodivergent, or simply looking for a kinder, safer educational home, they will find their tribe here.
Students who thrive here…
Are creative and brilliant, but feel like they don’t fit in
Feel anxiety or stress at the thought of school
Are just a number in a crowded public school system
Need an environment that is safer, gentler, and kinder
Why Families Choose Lumos
A Sanctuary
for Individuality
Whether your child is neurodivergent, artistic, or overwhelmed by traditional settings, they are welcome here. We don't label children; we celebrate them. Students who previously felt inadequate or bullied find a place where they truly belong.
Trauma-Informed & Compassionate Staff
Our teachers don’t just teach; they mentor. Many of our staff are trauma-informed and deeply invested in the emotional well-being of every student. We treat families like human beings, ensuring your child feels safe, loved, and accepted for who they are.
Small Classes,
Big Attention
Your child will never get lost in the crowd. Our small student-to-teacher ratio allows our faculty to really know your child, cater to their unique needs, and help them shine.
Restored Confidence
Parents see that Lumos brings out their child’s spirit. We watch students go from fearing school to not wanting to miss a day. We help restore the love of learning by making it fun, creative, and stress-free.

It means your child doesn't just sit at a desk all day. Our teaching approach is a shift from traditional methods to an interactive approach using an Arts Integration curriculum. Arts Integration is a research-based curricular strategy that has been used in classrooms for over 30 years. This approach helps reinforce academic skills and improves student engagement.

Absolutely. We are often called a sanctuary for a reason. We take a firm stance against bullying and have a trauma-informed staff. Many of our students come to us after struggling in large public schools, and we prioritize emotional safety and self-esteem as the foundation for learning.
